A hospital bid set is not a document. It is a small library: architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety, interiors, and two dozen more disciplines, each with its own sheets, schedules, and revisions.
An estimator bidding this trade reads the sheets there is time for and trusts convention for the rest. The engine does not have that constraint. It read everything, and the counts turned up in unexpected places: on this set, tagged on ceiling plans rather than a schedule.

Every count is re-counted by an independent pass that starts from scratch and must agree. Rooms with nothing in them come back as verified zeroes: “no shades here” is a checked finding, not an omission.
The catch that pays for the discipline: the usual manual shortcut assumes typical floors are identical. On this set they were not. The verify pass caught the difference, an over-count that would have been baked straight into the bid.
Flag, don't guess: anything ambiguous in the documents goes to a human with its sheet reference attached. Nothing ambiguous goes into the count.

If a claim on this site doesn't come with a number we can stand behind, we don't make it.
